翻译“现代性”：瞿秋白思想探索

Translating Modernity: An Exploration of Qu Qiubai's Thoughts

Qu Qiubai put forward his theoretical ideas about translation from his political and ideological point of view. So, his ideas about translation was inevitably subject to historical restrictions and his political philosophy： first, he saw a historical cultural difference between China and western modernity from the angle of history and time; second, his commentary and critique on China＇ s linguistic heterogeneity in 1930s destabilized the translation from ＂source language＂ to ＂target language＂ ; third, he tried in theory to solve the problem of difference left by translation. For him, the difference could he erased only if the Chinese ＂target language＂ was a new and contemporary oral language without any traces of the past.
