论荀子之礼与孔孟之礼的同异

The Common Characteristics and Differences on Rite Ideas Between Xunzi''''s and Kongzi and Mengzi''''s

In this compesition we compare Xunzi's rite ideas with the ideas of Kongzi and Mengzi's rite ideas,to see the characteristic of the ideas of Xunzi's rite more clearly . We can find that Kongzi and Mengzi attach importance to cultivate one's morality, belong to self-cultivation, but Xunzi' rite pay attention to society-governing and nation' unification, which is a kind of social criterion given by actual reality. Because they lived in different time,what they cried up on rite had different functions. And they all contribute a lot to Chinese traditional culture.
