| 摘 要： | 《巴比特》是美国作家辛克莱·刘易斯的代表作,亦是他诺贝尔文学奖的获奖作品。小说中,以巴比特为代表的人物过着“表面风光,内心彷徨”的生活,他们寻求各种方式为自己空虚乏味的生活制造快感,然而在片刻愉悦之后,却又产生深深的且无法摆脱的负罪感。运用弗洛伊德精神分析理论,分析了商业文化背景下大众快感与罪感的来源,并揭示了商业社会中人们在享受快感、经历罪感之后,最终陷入一种无助感的生存状态。

| Abstract: | In Babbitt, the Nobel Prize-wining masterpiece of Sinclair Lewis, people like Babbitt the hero live a life of ＂ shining outside and anxious inside＂ . They try in everyway to make pleasures for their boring life. However, after a moment of satisfaction, they are entrapped in deep and inescapable sense of guilty. Based on Freudian psycho-analysis theory, this paper discusses the source of peopleJs senses of pleasure and guilty in the commercial culture, and reveals a trend of people in commercial society from sense of pleasure to sense of guilty and finally to a sense of helplessness. |
