Pragmatic translation, which attracts more and more concerns, stands between the cultures of target languages and the translated ones, emphasizes precise understanding of the original writings, takes into consideration readers＇ cultural background, concept of values and social conventions, and refines them by means of replacement, simplification, rectification and zero transla- tion in order to achieve equivalent pragmatic effectiveness of the original writings.
