| 摘 要： | 吴宓认为小说不是生活的消遣，而是人生的表现，赋予了小说对个人、社会和世界以厚重的文明教化功能。他从19世纪英国批判现实主义小说流派那里吸收“写实小说”的概念，把自己的人生观和道德理想作为小说主旨追求的目标，强调小说对真、善、爱等终极价值的张扬。依此为标准，吴宓展开了对中外“写实小说”的批判。

| Abstract: | Wu Mi thinks that novels are not the amusement of one＇ s life, but the expression of it, thus offering novels the educational function of rich civilization toward individuals, society and the world. He acquired the concept of ＂realistic novel＂ from the novel school of English critical realism in 19 century, and took his life philosophy and moral ideal as a pursuing goal of novel theme. Meanwhile, he emphasized the value expansion of truth, kindness and love in the novels. Based on this criteria, Wu Mi carried out his criticism on the realistic novels at home and abroad. |
