| Abstract: | This paper presents the characteristics of two kinds of figures of speech, namely, nonce word and parody from the perspective of comparative linguistics. On the basis of the illustration, the paper suggests some strategies in the English-Chinese and Chinese-English translation of nonce word and parody. |
