试论道光《重庆府志》的成书与价值

道光《重庆府志》是清代纂修的重庆地区府级方志中的第一部、也是唯一的一部志书。它的成书是在知府王梦庚的大力主持下完成的，实际执笔人为荣昌教谕寇宗。本志采用传统的两级分目体，对清代道光以前的重庆府境内的地理、经济、政治、教育、军事、人物等各方面的历史加以叙述，保存了一些难得的史料。但是本志在编纂过程中过于强调政治意义而忽视了对地方社会的经济生活和风俗文化等内容的记载，致使大量有价值的地方性知识流失。同时，由于纂修者的水平所限，志书内容的学术性也大受影响。但由于本志成书较晚，刊本存世量大，查阅较容易。
