The indefinite editions have been an important phenomenon in the history of 20th century Chinese literature.This paper analyzes the reasons for such a historical phenomenon for the first time.To keep the indefinite editions of the same literary work is a cultural conduct which can't be resisted in the social situation of 20th century Chinese history.The indefinite editions give 20th century Chinese literature more cultural meaning which makes the idea of literary history unclear.
