The Socialism with Chinese Characteristics： the Pursuit of Modernity and Innovation in Rationalism

Reform and opening up start the modernization in all respects, and modernity has become the inevitable choice and intrinsic motivation of the social development. But modernity is developed together with the market logic and rationalism. It has motivated the social reform and the development of modernization, but at the same time, resuited in the market law to be supreme and the tool rationalism arbitrariness, which caused social fracture and differentiation, the loss of moralities, serious ecological problems and the barrenness of spiritual life. Building a comprehensive moderately prosperous society inhibited the paradox of modernity by seeking common prosperity and improving the quality of development. Scientific Outlook on Development aims at exploring man＇ s ultimate meaning in social development, emphasizing comprehensive, coordinated and sustainable development, reflecting the norms of tool rational and beyond thinking model, promoting the construction of harmonious society and indicating the new diroction and path choice for the further development of socialism with Chinese characteristics.
