儒学长期局限于训诂与注疏,到唐末、五代时期,已越来越僵化与衰微。两宋时期,求变思潮成为思想界与政治界的主流。政治的改革,学术思想的发展,相互交织,相互渗透,最终催化了道学的形成。道学融会佛、道思想,较好地解决了儒学发展中的瓶颈问题,使儒学重新走上了独尊的地位。

A Brief Summary of the Taoist Studies and its Influence on Confucianism

Confucianism had long been confined to interpretation and annotation of the classics,and by the end of Tang Dynasty or Five Dynasties had become too dogmatized and been on the decline.During the Song Dynasty,reforming became the main current in the intellectual and political circle.The permeating and interlacing of political reformation and academic development ushered in Taoist Studies,which,combining Buddhism and Taoism,resolved the bottleneck problems in the development of Confucianism and helped to bring it back to the ruling position.
