The Ethics Issue on Social Work＇s Intervention in Marital Violence

With the frequency of marital violence increased, more and more social work professionals and agencies begin to intervene in case of marital violence. Violence not only damages the women＇s health and human dignity, undermines the stability and harmony in the family, but also has a greater destructive power. Because of the concealment and complexity of factors which triggered marital violence, social work profes-sionals＇ intervention may face with a variety of possible ethical problems, so, professionals should consider carefully the pros and cons of various options and then make the right value judgments.
