| 摘 要： | “东”、“西”、“南”、“北”、“中”这些方位词不仅是地理概念，而且与民族文化、宗教思想、风俗习惯密切相关，是一种文化现象。从专有名词中方位词表尊卑、表代指及方位词表委婉用法的视角深入挖掘《红楼梦》中方位词的深层文化底蕴，并分析其英译策略，可知方位词在中西语境中不同的语言接触强度、语言态度和文化涵义，这有利于中华文化的传播与输出。

| Abstract: | Directional word is not only a geographic concept but also a cultural phenomenon closely related to national cultures, religious thoughts and customs and habits. Targeted at the directional words in Hong Lou Meng, the paper discusses their cultural connotations and corresponding translation strategies and probes into their different intensity of language contact, language attitude and cultural postures in Chinese and western contexts, which are conducive to the introduction and diffusion of Chinese culture. |
