略评顾颉刚的古史批判与《老子》研究

顾颉刚对古史的批判,以质疑传统的道统观为逻辑前提。顾颉刚认为,中国的古史是按照道统的体系编排演绎出来的,传统说法中的老子虽非道统中人,但老子及《老子》书由编造而成,是道统说的派生物,因而要一并推翻。这种对古史系统的存疑态度,为研究中国传说古史开阔了学术视野,提供了全新的研究方法。然而,顾颉刚的疑古由于对某些传说缺乏分析,对于古史中包括有关《老子》的一些论断也失之主观,值得反思。

The Criticism to the Ancient History and the Research about Lao Tzu by Gu Jiegang

The criticism to the ancient history by Gu Jiegang was take oppugning the traditional Confucian orthodoxy concept as a logic premise.Gu Jiegang believed that the Chinese ancient history was arranged and deduced in accordance with the system of the Confucian orthodoxy,and Lao Tzu and his book of Lao Tzu compiled and derived from Confucian orthodoxy theory should be overthrew together,though Lao Tzu in traditional parlance did not belong to the Confucian orthodoxy.This doubtful attitude towards the ancient system had widened the learning eyeshot and offered a brand-new research method to the ancient history in the Chinese legend era.However,because of the lack of the analysis of some of the legends,Gu Jiegang's doubt of the ancient history also caused some subjective theses including Lao Tzu in the ancient history,worthy of discussion.
