奕訢与清政府对外开放的蹒跚步履

奕訢在近代中国对外开放史上扮演了重要的角色。他以恭亲王之尊倡导“自强”、“洋务”于庙堂之上 ,对清政府“师夷长技”、“采西学”的努力起了促进作用。奕主持开创了一系列具有开拓性质的近代化事业 ,在以西法练兵制器、同文馆及天文算学馆的设立、留学生的派遣以及晚清外交的近代化和外向型商贸体系的初步建立等方面做出了独特的贡献。

Yi Xin and the Slow Pace of Opening to the Outside World of Qing Government

Yi Xin played an important role in China's modern history of opening to the outside world. As one of the princes, Yi Xin was brave enough to initiate self-strengthening, westernization at the imperial court and promoted the government efforts to learn from foreigners and adopt western learning. He took charge of a series of pioneer modern enterprises. He also made special contributions to military training and weapon manufacture in western methods, founding translation school and astronomic and arithmetic school, sending students abroad, preliminarily establishing the modernization of diplomacy, and export-oriented trade system in late Qing Dynasty.
