In the steel-cored era,the outstanding feature of Steel City ,the sixth collection of Gong Xuemin's poems, lies in its poetic planning,thus presenting the special meaning of"Steel Poetics" in contemporary poems.He started his "poems of steel" from the origin of Chinese steel,then came back to "steel itself",which presented steel's soft-ness,warmness and lyricism.Meanwhile,during the process of coming back to "steel poetics" of "steel itself",his poems widely displayed a kind of strong scientific sense and rational spirit,thus supplying a possibility of new poetics for contemporary poems on how to transfuse rational spirit and scientific sense into "new lyric".
