| 摘 要： | 全球化时代民族国家面临的认同分化既有纵向的也有横向的，在这里作者主要探讨的是横向的阶层分化：首先从认同整合的角度回顾了近代西方民族国家的形成及“公民权”和“人民”两种认同整合机制；其次，从经济全球化带来的阶层认同分化的角度分析了民族国家面临的政治挑战；最后，提出在新的历史条件下，民族国家以及当代中国在这一问题上面临的双重挑战。

| Abstract: | In the course of globalization, differentiation of identity in nation - states has both vertical and horizontal tendencies. This essay discusses the horizontal tendency, reviewing the formation of Western nation - states over the recent past and the two identity mechanisms of ＂civil rights＂ and ＂the people＂, analyzing the political challenges from the perspective of the differentiation of class identity under economic globalization, and clarifying the dual challenges that modern China and other nation- states may face in the new historic conditions. |
