| 摘 要： | 本文简要地回顾了一百多年来美国社会学研究及主要社会学理论的发展。这些研究及理论的发展包括芝加哥学派的兴起,结构功能理论的盛衰,社会互动理论的发展,冲突理论的变化,以及世界体系理论的出现。分析了美国妇女及少数民族社会学者在数量上的增加以及全球化的深入将如何影响美国社会学研究的方向。文章最后讨论了未来社会学及社会研究在美国的发展趋势。
