卡夫卡的中国文化情结

卡夫卡对中国怀有浓厚的兴趣,他深入研读、思考过中国古代典籍,尤其是老庄的著作,着迷于清代诗人袁枚的《寒夜》,并以中国为题材写出了《中国长城建造时》、《一道圣旨》等重要小说。卡夫卡对中国文化的浓厚兴趣,一是和第一次世界大战后西方世界掀起的第二次"中国热"有关;二是"代表着罗曼史、异国情调、美丽风景、难忘的回忆、非凡的经历"的中国,一直是欧洲人借以逃离欧洲的理想国。

Kafka's Complex of Chinese Culture

Kafka took great interest in China.He made a detailed study and reflection of ancient Chinese books,especially Lao Zi's and Zhuang Zi's works.He was possessed with Cold Night written by Yuan Mei,a poet in Qing Dynasty.Taking China as the subject matter,Kafka wrote many important novels,such as The Great Wall of China and An Imperial Message.There are two main reasons for Kafka's deep interest in Chinese culture.One is the second China Mania in the West after World War I and the other is China,associated with romance,exoticism,beautiful scenery,unforgettable memory and extraordinary experience,being regarded as Utopia where Europeans can escape for.
