论英国浪漫派诗学中的想象观

在想象概念发展史上,英国浪漫派诗人的努力功不可没,他们分别从诗歌理论与创作实践上推动了想象概念的历史发展,使其最终被确认为文艺创造的本质力量。文章通过对该派代表性诗人华兹华斯、柯勒律治、雪莱诗学中想象观的梳理分析,论述了想象概念在他们手中的丰富与发展,即想象与幻想的基本区别,想象在文艺创作中的地位提升,想象所体现的审美功能与道德意义,以及他们对前人理论的吸收和相互之间的内在联系,从而在某种程度上阐明其想象观对促进当下社会人的精神发展所具有的理论价值和现实意义。

The Concept of Imagination in English Romantic Poetics

In the historic development of imagination,the English romanticists made so great efforts.From poetics theory and creation-practice respectively,they promoted the development of imagination concept which was eventually recognized as the essence of literary creation.Through an analysis on imagination concept in poetics of the representative poets Wordsworth,Coleridge and Shelley,this paper treats the development of imagination concept in their poetics.Namely,the essential difference between imagination and fantasy was: the imagination status rose in artistic creation,the imagination concept expressed the aesthetic function and moral significance;they absorbed previous theories and their intrinsic link.Accordingly,they explained,to some extent,that their imagination concept promoted the theoretic value and realistic meaning to the development of human spirit in modern society.
