“泛神论”的“上帝”——从斯宾诺莎看西方科学和哲学中的“上帝”

在西方近代哲学的发展脉络中,有两个特征尤为明显,即:"教会的威信衰落下去,科学的威信逐步上升。"但是,科学的光辉并没有能够完全驱逐上帝,自斯宾诺莎(Sp inoza)的泛神论之后,"上帝"的身影依然存在于许多哲学家、科学家乃至普通知识分子心中。这并非罗素判断的错误,其实泛神论中让众多哲学家、科学家陶醉的上帝并非圣经中创世纪的上帝,而是人们心中关于宇宙、星空、美与和谐的法则和秩序。

God in Western Science and Philosophy: a View from Spinoza's Pantheism

There are two remarkable characters in the development process of modern western philosophy,churchly authority was downing and scientific face was uping.However,the brilliance of science does not totally expel God.Since Spinoza's pantheism,the God sometimes exists in the minds of some philosophers,scientists and even ordinary intellectuals.This is not a mistake of Russell's judgment.In fact,the God in pantheism that inebriates the philosophers and scientists is not the God in the Bible which creates the world,but the rule and order about the universe,beauty and harmony.
