《大学》“知止”思想及其当代意义

摘    要:在《大学》中,“知止”与“三纲”、“七证”、“八目”属于同样重要的范畴,它紧密关联着“三纲”的达至、“七证”的获得,以及“八目”的践行。本文试以“知行合一”为进路,从何谓“知止”、“止”于何处、何以能“止”三个层面,对《大学》的“知止”思想作出解析,并指出其当代意义。

"Knowing Where to Stop" Significance in Thought and Its Contemporary The Greet Learning

Abstract:"Knowing where to stop" is of equal importance with the "three creeds", "seven cultural levels", "eight clauses" in The Great Learning. It is closely associated with the attainment of "three creeds", the acquisition of "seven training levels", and the practice of "eight clauses". This paper takes "knowledge and action are one" as the path to make an analysis of the "knowing where to stop" thought in The Great Learning from the following three aspects: what is meant by "knowing where to stop", "stop" at where, how can "stop", and demonstrates its contemporary significance.
