| 摘 要： | 英汉两种语言在句子结构方面有很大的差异。汉语是话题突出语言(topic prominent language),句子的基本结构是话题+说明,而英语是主语突出的语言(subject prominent language),句子结构是主语+谓语,主语在句中处于不可或缺的地位,要求意足形完。本文通过翻译实践,讨论了汉英翻译时根据句子话题来确定英语主语的理论及操作策略,并以此实现有效再现原文语句的交际价值。
