隐藏还是开放——心理治疗中的两难问题

在心理治疗中 ,当事人通过开放可以得到发泄 ,获得理解 ;但高度的开放 ,尤其是某些隐私的暴露 ,又容易使当事人建立起负面的自我形象。本文介绍了Kelly(2 0 0 0 )提出的在心理治疗中当事人自我展示的观点 ,对传统心理治疗理论中鼓励当事人彻底开放的做法提出了质疑 ,也为心理治疗的理论和实践提供了一条新的思路。

To Hide or To Open--A Dilemma in Psychotherapy

Openness in psychotherapy allows clients to release harmful emotions and to gain understandings. But openness in excess, especially the disclosure of some private information, tends to result in the negative self-image on the part of the client. This paper introduces Kelly's self-presentational view of psychotherapy, thereby challenging the traditional theory of psychotherapy to encourage the client to open thoroughly, and offering a new way for therapeutic theory and practice.
