| Abstract: | Walden is one of the important works written by T horeau, a famous American thinker and essayist. It is regarded as a representati ve work in American natural literature. The article comments on the ideological contents, aesthetic value and genre of Walden, and reveals the charm, which pass es through time and space and influences the generations to come. The viewpoints such as harmonious coexistence between man and nature, and living a simple life as the highest principle are still of realistic significance nowadays. |
