藏传佛教在凉州的传播及影响

凉州是甘肃河西走廊东段的一个重镇,历史悠久,文化积淀丰厚,一度曾是中国佛教的传播中心,对汉传佛教和藏传佛教的传播都产生过深远的影响。进入13世纪中叶,随着“凉州会谈”的成功举行,西藏正式纳入中国版图,也为藏传佛教的发展带来大好机遇。此时,以凉州为中心,藏传佛教有规模的向蒙古等民族、向中原内地传播和辐射开来,产生了广泛的影响。西藏高僧萨迦班智达·贡噶坚赞、八思巴等曾在这里建寺聚徒,弘传佛法。从凉州走出的清代国师章嘉·若贝多吉等,为藏传佛教的传播、维护祖国统一做出过重要贡献。
