| 摘 要： | 学界一直对薛福成在中英《续议滇缅界.商务条款》中对中缅北段界的划分持否定态度,通过对解密材料、薛氏奏疏、日记仔细的研读,并把中缅北段界的划分置于整个薛氏的交涉之中可以看出,作为洋务派的杰出代表,薛福成在谈判中全力维界,对中缅北段界的划分言纬不言经,正是其用心良苦的结果,应当给予客观地评价。

| Abstract: | The scholars concerned have long held a negative view about Xue Fucheng's position in determining the northern section of the Sino-Burmese borderline in the process of signing the"Supplementary Terms to the Sino-Burmese Borderline and Business".Through a study of the recently released data,his memorial to the throne and diary and his whole negotiation,this paper concludes that Xue Fucheng as an outstanding representative of the Westernization-favored School did his best to safeguard China's territory. |
