反思回访与再研究:历史、场景与理论

摘    要:从林德回访中镇、弗思回访提科皮亚、哈钦森再研究努尔人到弗里曼重访萨摩亚、韦纳重访特里布罗恩德岛以及刘易斯重访特波茨兰村,文章在回顾西方民族志中这些有关回访与再研究的典型案例的基础上,分析了回访与再研究的区别,揭示了其中对于历史、场景和理论的关注对于人类学学科发展的价值和意义,并反思其对国内相关研究的启示,即如何在理解他者(包括学术先行者和同一时空坐落中的当地人)所处的历史、场景和理论的基础上展开对话与交流,从而深化田野工作,领会人类学的人文特色,发掘出新的见解。

Abstract:Retrospections on the classic examples of revisit and restudy in western ethnography, such as Robert Lynd' s revisit to the Middletown, Raymond Firth to Tikopia, Sharon Hutchinson' s restudy on the Nuer, Derek Freeman on Samoa, Annette Weiner on Trobriand and Oscar Lewis' s restudy on Tepoztlan village have revealed that revisit is different from re- study, and that concern on history, context and theory in revisit and restudy practice has important meaning to the develop- ment of anthropology discipline, and also can give enlightenment to the relevant study at home. We should take conversa- tion and exchange on the basis of understanding history, context and theory of the other, including academic predecessors and the natives in the same time and place, in order to deepen field work, grasp humanistic characteristic of anthropology and draw out new ideas.
