摘    要:通识教育实践与真正意义上的通识教育还有很大的差距。究其原因,有四个主要因素制约着通识教育在我国高校的有效实施。其一,对科研的过分导向和对教学学术性的认识模糊,直接影响着通识课程的教学质量;其二,教育功利主义抑制了通识教育思想与实践的生长空间;其三,专业教育和通识教育的定位不清,限制了通识教育目标的实现;其四,专门管理机构和制度化保障的缺乏,制约着通识课程的建设和管理。

Abstract:General education is not effectively conducted in the universities of China.Objectively speaking,there exists a great gap between the practice and the goal of general education.There are four major factors affecting the efficacy of general education in China's institutions of higher learning.Firstly,excessive emphasis on research and the ambiguous understanding of the academic nature of teaching are affecting the teaching quality of general education courses.Secondly,the utilitarian education is limiting the spread of the concept and the practice of general education.Thirdly,disorientation of specialized education and general education is checking the realization of the goal of the latter.Fourthly,lack of specialized administrative organizations and institutionalization is conditioning the construction and the management of general education courses.
