| 摘 要： | 东晋南朝时期,佛教有很大发展。中国的比丘尼始于晋代的净检,自此以后,代有其人。尼姑的社会阶层极为复杂,其中有因家贫守寡而出家者,有替家长、家人求佛祈福而出家者,有因不愿出嫁或对婚姻不满而出家者,有身陷强虏沦为奴婢而韬光养晦出家者,有出身高门或佛教世家而出家者,也有为解除自身病痛而皈依佛门者。出家之后,其情况也各色各样。有的枯守青灯,节行精苦;有的凡心未泯,败道伤俗;有的身披袈裟,交通王侯;有的脱离寺院,重新还俗。本文试图以梁释宝唱撰《比丘尼传》为主要史料,结合正史资料加以梳理,并以民国年间震华撰《续比丘尼传》中的材料加以补充,力求揭示这一时期尼姑生活的基本面貌。
