方兴未艾的自传研究迫切需要几个理论的支点。作者通过界定自传事实来为自传叙述学研究确立一个出发点。用自传事实这个概念来衡量 ,中国古代的自传文虽然表现了丰富各异的自我 ,但它们还不是严格意义上的自传。从历时性和共时性 (纵横两方面 )来考虑 ,自传事实的内涵应该包括两个方面 :展示自我生成的事实和经验化的事实

The Connoted I: On Autobiographical Fact

That I choose autobiographical fact as a starting point is mainly due to the pressing need to locate some basic elements for the flourishing autobiographical narrative studies. In the light of autobiographical fact, I argue that the ancient self accounts listed by Liang Qichao are not autobiographies but autobiographical essays, for they seldom treat consciously two important aspects of autobiographical fact: the self becoming fact and the experienced fact.
