Research on the Policy of Constructing an Innovative Guangzhou Based on the Evolutionary Paradigm

The development of evolutionary paradigm provides a new perspective for regional innovation-oriented policy research. Through the application of basic philosophy and the analytical framework of evolutionary paradigm, the occurrence and diffusion process of regional innovation can be better studied, and we can reach some valuable ideas and principles of innovation policy different from the traditional Equilibrium paradigm, such as rectifying systematical failure, emphasizing on the role of government, exploring strategic niche innovation policies, promoting all kinds of economic tests, combining quantity-oriented and quality-oriented innovation policies, and so on. All of these policies will be much helpful for the construction of an innovative Guangzhou.
