崇高是欧洲史上最重要的美学概念之一,滥觞于古希腊,之后古罗马文艺理论家朗吉弩斯对其进行了系统的论述。崇高最重要的因素是伟大,实现崇高的具体方式是竞争,费厄泼赖指公平竞争,是竞争中必不可少的原则。崇高、伟大与公平竞争之间的关系,一直以来都是被忽视的问题,在当代尤其引人思考,发人深思。

Approaching Longinus: On the Sublimity and the Spirit of Fair Play

Being an important esthetic concept in European history, the concept which called Sublime comes from ancient Greece. The Roman literature theoretician Longinus made a system and internationally discuss to this concept. The most important factor of Sublime is greatness. Competition is the concrete way to achieving Sublime. Fair play means the fact of playing a game or acting honestly, fairly and ac- cording to rules. Moreover, fair play is the guarantee of achieving Sublime. In my opinion, it is a prob- lem that the relationship among Sublime, greatness and fair play is always ignored, especially in nowa- days. Fair play is significant for lifestyle.
