| 摘 要： | 陈垣先生论述了外来宗教 ,包括佛、回、摩尼、犹太、基督等教与中华民族文化主体儒学的关系 ,尤其探讨了佛教对中国文学、艺术的影响 ,及与史学之间的彼此借鉴 ,借此揭示出中华民族深厚的文化传统与兼容吸纳的宽宏精神 ,表达了他的民族自信心与反对全盘西化论的坚定立场。

| Abstract: | Mr. Chen Yuan's academic achievements cover a w id e range of fields, which include the relationship between introduced regions lik e Buddhism, Judaism, Christianity, Moni and Hui and Confucianism, the dominant c ultural element of the Chinese nation. He also discusses the influence of Buddhi sm on Chinese literature and art and the inter-absorption of good points from bo th Buddhism and the science of history. Through all this Mr. Chen reveals the ri ch cultural tradition and broadmindedness of the Chinese nation and his national confidence and firm opposition to all Westernization. |
