| 摘 要： | 随着中国加入WTO及经济发展和社会生活的需要，英语的重要作用日益突出。独立学院学生英语根底不扎实，其英语水平的提高对其就业竞争力的增强起着至关重要的作用。文章就如何提高独立学院学生的英语水平，从兴趣的培养、观念的转变以及基本技能的夯实三方面分别进行了探讨。

| Abstract: | With the accession to the WTO,the needs of economic development and social life in China, the importance of English is increasing.However,the English basic skill of students in unattached institute is not so solid.Hence,raising the level of English plays a significant role in enhancing employment competitive- ness.The author discusses some important questions from three aspects on how to study English in college for students in unattached institute. |
