Wuyi Huijiang and Origin of 18th Century New Compilation Forms in China

This paper deals with the background of the publication of Wuyi Huijia ng (a book on medical theories) as a new compilation form. The emergence of this new compilation form was closely related to the development of science and culture of the 18th century, especially to the progress in the means of literature publication in traditional Chinese medicine. It is valuable not only because it promoted the prosperity of traditional Chinese medicine, but also because of its great significance in compilation history. Its stylistic rules and methods have become the basic materials for the research of early publication forms. The compilation methods and creative compilation thoughts can promote deeper understanding of some of the theoretical problems in compilation, and the new experience in compilation can serve as direct evidence for modern people to study the science of compilation.
