| 摘 要： | 以往的新词研究主要侧重于构词法及新词产生的外部因素,但较少系统地从隐喻认知的内部角度来研究英语新词.文章主要探讨隐喻与词的意义及隐喻认知机制下英语新词的产生,分析隐喻认知机制下英语新词的发展,来揭示隐喻不仅在英语新词的产生和发展过程中,甚至在人们的社会生活中都有着重要的作用.

| Abstract: | Traditional studies of English neologisms mainly focus on external factors of neologism generation and the ways of word formation, and people pay little attention to internal cognitive mechanism of neologism generation. This thesis tries to explore internal metaphorical cognitive mechanism and the development of neologism production by making use of cognitive metaphor theories, which in- dicates metaphor plays an extremely important role not only in the course of neologism production and development, but also in people＇ s daily life. |
