A Preliminary Exploration of Forensic Linguistics

This article is an attempt to introduce Forensic Unguistics, a new field of study attracting in creasing attention of linguists, lawyers and others involved in judicial processes.It describes the e mergence of this new interdiscipline, its objectives and the two major approaches it has developed in the problematic application: voice recognition and authorship identification. Some suggestions are made as a solution for the problems.
