论电影片名在中国大陆及港台地区的翻译比较

目前在中国,电影片名翻译已呈现大陆、香港和台湾三足鼎立之势,然而不同版本的译名也提供了可供比较的素材,有助于鉴别出优劣。文章从实例出发,分别论述了三地对电影片名翻译标准的理解与侧重、翻译策略的不同运用以及差异形成的原因,以期加强彼此间的交流,为整个中国电影翻译界的发展做出贡献。

A Comparative Study of Film Title Translations in China's Mainland, Hong Kong and Taiwan

At present, the three regions of mainland, Hong Kong and Taiwan have been keeping the triangular balance in China＇s English film title translation, which offers us many different versions of translation. The paper tries to compare the differences of translation between the three regions by exploring their different emphases on translation values, their different translation methods adopted, and the socio-cultural reasons for these differences, in the hope that it can encourage the communications between them, thus together promote the development of China＇s film title translation.
