| 摘 要： | "任何一种语言如果不是深深植根于文化的土壤都无法生存;任何一种文化如果不是以自然语言的结构为中心都无法传承."词汇是语言的基本要素,文化差异在词汇层次上体现得最为突出.词汇空缺现象,揭示了中西文化在历史、风俗习惯、价值观念和民族心理等方面的独特性和文化对语言的影响力.

| Abstract: | No language can exist unless it is steeped in the context of culture;and no culture can exist which does not have at its centre,the structure of natural language.Vocabulary is the basic element of a language and it reveals the corresponding culture.In both English and Chinese,many words can not find their counterparts in another language due to cultural differences,which are classified into three categories such as social customs,values and peculiarities in word forms.Through the analysis of the phenomena of lexical gap in two languages,distinguishing features of each culture and their impact on language can be seen. |
