| Abstract: | Shen Youding has long been known to Chinese scholars as an expert of mathematical logic but few noticed that it was Shen Youding who first ntroduced phenomenology to China. This paper classifies this fact through an analysis of the basic ideas in Shen Youding''s papers published between the 1930s and the 1940s and his correspondence with Wang Hao who was an American expert of mathematical logic. |
