| Abstract: | More than a dozen books aimed to interpret ancient works on calligraphy have been published over recent years. However, many of their explanatory notes have been found to be inadequate or even erroneous. This paper makes an analysis into scores of erroneous interpretations taken from several representative books in the hope of making clear that much is demanded from exegesis of ancient works on calligraphy and it is no good to be too anxious for quick success and instant benefits in this field. |
