论质的层次性

质是哲学的一个重要概念 ,但质又不是一个单纯的概念 ,人类对质范畴的认识经历了多层次的推进 ,既有对历史含义的继承 ,又不断地赋予新的含义 ,这使质的范畴具有丰富的层次性。正是对质的概念不断认识深化的情况下 ,人类对自然物、生命、人类、人类社会的认识也在不断地深化 ,或者说人类在这两者认识深化的发展上是互动的、相辅相成的。对现代哲学中质的概念进行总结 ,质可分为要素质和系统质 ,而系统质又可分为自然系统质、人工系统质、社会系统质。这种划分只是一种概念的划分 ,而在人类的实践中 ,要素质和系统质的关系是相当复杂的。

On Hierarchy of Essence

Essence is an important concept in philosophy, but it is not a simplex concept. Mans cognition on the category has experienced multi-leveled advance, with historical inheritance and with new meaning endowed. This has given the category of essence rich levels in its hierarchy. It is under the constant deepening of cognition on the concept of essence, mans cognition has deepened on the nature, life, human beings, and human society. It can be said that mans development in these cognitions are mutually supplement. If we give a summary of the concept of essence in modern philosophy, essence can be classified into elemental essence and systematic essence. The latter can be further classified into natural systematic essence, artificial systematic essence and social systematic essence. Such a classification is only conceptual. In human practice, the relationship between elemental essence and systematic essence is fairly complex.
