教育平等与人的个性自由发展

摘    要:教育平等的内涵具有多样性,其公平公正性的体现不仅指教育机会的平等或均等,而且在于是否为个人提供更多的发展机会。教育平等与人的个性自由发展之间应当做到有机的统一。《经济、社会及文化权利国际公约》指出,教育应鼓励人的个性和尊严的充分发展,加强对人权和基本自由的尊重。重视人的个性自由发展并非否定教育平等,而是最大限度地实现实质上的教育平等,体现教育对人的发展机会的平等。

Abstract:Educational equality involves a diversity of connotations. Its quality of being fair and impartial not only means equality of educational opportunities, but also lies in whether to provide more opportunities for people to develop. Educational equality and the free development of personality should be an organic unity. Education should encourage the full development of human personality and dignity, strengthen esteem for human rights and fundamental freedoms. Putting emphasis on the free development of personality does not indicate the denial of educational equality, but rather it is the realization of substantial equality in education to the fullest extent.
