汪兆镛及其《老子道德经撮要》述评

汪兆镛为清末民初岭南著名学者，由于时势变迁和命运多舛，他的生活轨迹和价值取向发生了重大变化，晚年与道教结下了不解之缘，由一名宿儒变成一名道士，享有“高风亮节”美誉；他纂写的《老子道德经撮要》，析注老之谬讹，释著老之原因，撮《老子》之要义，阐发经旨，不仅方便世人体悟《老子》真谛和了解道学源流，而且有助于道教的宣传和弘扬，有益于社会的治道和化俗。

Commentary on Wang Zhaoyong and his Extracts of LAOZi DAO DE JING

WANG Zhaoyong was a renowned Lingnan scholar between the late Qing dynasty and the early Minguo,because of the vicissitude of time and quirk of fate,his life path and value orientation had undergone tremendous changes and had an indissoluble bond with Taoism.He changed from an erudite scholar to a taoist priest in his late years and was held in high esteem for his "noble character and sterling integrity".The Extracts of LAOZi DAO DE JING which he compiled,analyzed errors in previous noting of LAOZi DAO DE JING,explained the reason for writing LAOZi DAO DE JING,extracted the essential meaning of LAOZi DAO DE JING and clarified its views.His research not only facilitated people’s understanding of Laozi and Taoism,but also contributed to Taoism propaganda and development,which is conducive to the construction of social customs and morals.
