论近代中国社会教育发生和发展的原因

近代社会教育的产生 ,并非历史的偶然 ,而是近代中国社会发展变化的必然产物。近代经济的发展为社会教育提供了基础性条件 ,更提出了强烈的需求 ,因而成为其产生和发展的根本动因 ;民族危亡刺激之下有识之士的呼吁与呐喊 ,各种救亡图存爱国思潮的激荡与实践 ,民主政治的兴起与推进 ,也催促着社会教育的产生和发展 ;而近代新式学校教育的兴起和发展又为社会教育奠定了基础 ,同时 ,其不可避免的不足和局限也急需社会教育予以补助 ;另外 ,历届政府对社会教育的相对重视与支持 ,亦是社会教育产生并获得日臻发展的重要因素。

Reasons for Emergence and Development of Social Education in Modern China

That social education came into being is not a historical accident, but an inevitable result of society changing and developing in modern China. The development of modern economy provided not only fundamental conditions but also strong need for social education, which became a radical impetus to the emergence and development of social education. The appeal and shout of ambitious people stimulated by the national crisis, which led to the practice of different kinds of salvation and patriotic thoughts, and the rising and advancing of democratic politics promoted the emergence and development of social education. The rising and developing of modern new type of schools provided it with certain foundation, while their unavoidable limitations starved for remedy of social education. In addition, that all previous governments comparatively stressed and supported social education was also an important factor leading to its emergence and making it develop step by step.
