网络文化的本质特征及其当下意义

网络文化研究有两个切入视角:从网络的角度看文化和从文化的角度看网络。前者是一种形式上的关注,注重网络的技术性特点,使对话交流具有直接性———在线;后者是一种内容上的关注,注重网络的思想性特点,即网络内容构成的文化属性。现从以下三个方面加以论述,即从文化的角度看,互联网实现了及时交互和资源共享,使在线的每个人既是文化的创造者,又是文化的接受者;网络的兴起,强化了分权和平等的观念;网络具有存在的虚拟性,使网络文化呈现为一种隐性主体特征。

Cyberculture:Its Substantive Characteristics and Current Significance

There are two angles in the study of cyberculture:one is to view culture from a network angle and the other is to view the Internet from a cultural angle. The former concerns the form, which includes technical features, and enables the Internet to keep up direct on-line communication with netizens, while the latter involves the content, that is, the cultural attribute which stresses ideological characteristics of the Internet. The article expounds on the following substantive characteristics: first, the Internet has achieved its timely interaction and resource sharing in a cultural perspective, and enables everyone on-line to become a culture creator as well as a culture receiver; second, the rising Internet has intensified the concept of deconcentration and equality; and third, the Internet possesses its existential virtual nature and makes cyberculture show a recessive subject character.
