Unconventional narrative strategy in The Bluest Eye

The paper mainly deals with the various writing characteristics applied to the f irst novel The Bluest Eye written by Toni Morrison. Starting from the narra t ive structure of this novel, I illustrate that multiple points of view play a ke y role in revealing the theme which is about a helpless black girl's tragic fate under the background of racism, and arouse readers' resonance from many angles. Then, turning to the apparently impenetrable discourse arrangement, I make a further discussion about the fragments which in fact are closely linked b y an invisible clue. Finally, I explain the signification and beautiful narratio n language embodied in many metaphors.
