论古代书院对当代大学教育理念的启示

摘    要:中国古代书院在千余年的发展历程中积累了许多宝贵的经验,其为己之学的教育理念、成己成物的价值定位以及独立与自由的文化品格一度书写了教育的辉煌,显示了书院教育的独特价值。结合目前我国大学教育面临诸多困境的现实,分析了回顾传统、重寻中国教育的文化根基,对当代大学人文主义精神的培育、个人的自由而全面发展目标的实现以及大学学术自由的形成具有的启示意义。

Abstract:The Chinese academy of classical learning in the ancient times had accumulated a lot of precious experience in the course of development over a thousand years. Its educational idea of learning for oneself, orientation of values and its independent and free cultural quality and style created its educational splendidness. The paper reviews and analyzes the cultural root of the Chinese education in the light of the predicaments faced by the present university education in China in the hope of giving enlightenment to the cultivating of humanism, the realizing of the targets of free but all-round development for individuals and the forming of academic freedom in modern universities.
