| Abstract: | Due to the current undesirable situation of humanistic quality for college students,especially for science & engineering university students,it has become an urgent task for the higher education in our country to improve students’ humanistic quality.Since college English is not only a basic course of language,but also a humanistic course,it is significant to fully develop its function of humanistic quality education.In accordance with the problems existent in college English teaching,the paper holds that human-oriented teaching ideal should be adhered to and college English teaching reformed in the links of choosing teaching models,imparting textbook knowledge,designing English activities,and establishing evaluation systems that are beneficial to the promotion of students’ humanistic quality. |
