Abstract:This paper discusses the necessity of merging the cultural elements in the process of foreign languageteaching(FLT), the aim is to provide language learners with profound cultural knowledge of both Chineseculture and western culture in the course of learning languages. It is the very way to improve the quality of FLTand to cultivate the high-qualified language learners with cross-cultural communicative ability.
